Who is Irvington?

Irvington is a new pop/alternative rock band from Santa Cruz, CA, and is poised to take the region by storm. Their first concert was March 2005, and they have quickly launched into the Northern California music scene. Almost immediately they won a competition to play as an independent artist as the well-known Christian music festival Spirit West Coast. Although winning the competition was a surprise to many, if you get to know the band, it wasn't unforeseeable. The band members represent some of the most talented and respected members of the local music scene, and all are serious musicians with years of formal training and experience in bands and professional playing. With this kind of experience, you'd think they would be a lot older than they are, but their ages range from 19-24. Not only are they entertaining musicians, the band has a solid ministry focus that is refreshing in this day and age. They also released a worship album in the summer of 2005 and performed as the worship band at summer camp for Mt. Herman in the Santa Cruz mountains.
